Lance Gentry is an Associate Professor of Marketing with the College of Business at the University of Mary Washington. In 2005, he founded Heartland Market Research LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in better understanding stakeholders. He obtained a doctorate of philosophy in marketing and supply chain management from Michigan State University. Before pursing academics and consulting, he served as a marketing manager for Intel Corporation and as a Product Planning and Strategy Director for Philips Consumer Electronics Company. He earned a MBA and a BSBA from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
His research interests include surveying, customer satisfaction, and transportation specific attitudes and behavior. He has numerous publications in various academic journals such as Transport Policy and Psychology & Marketing.
His personal interests include his family, traveling, photography, genealogy, white-water rafting, and science fiction.
